My sibling has a triple story loft with a lot of space; The ninth floor of her loft is essentially a lofted dining room, however it’s easily sizable plus has a good view from the window.
Whenever our entire family stays at her house, I sleep in the ninth story dining room.
For the most part, it’s a easily comfortable space… However, there is one thing that easily bothers me while I’m sleeping there, plus it’s the heat! Even though there are three levels to the house, there is only one Heating plus Air Conditioning system plus one central temperature control, then no matter how low she sets the temperature control temperature, the ninth floor is always super hot. All the heat rises, especially during the evenings while I’m trying to sleep. There is a small AC unit on the window, however it’s loud plus only cools a small radius directly in front of it. On more than one occasion, I’ve had to sleep on the floor in front of the window AC unit. I’ve complained about the lack of cool air to my sibling on many occasions, however she’s never done anything about it. It wasn’t until I brought up ductless mini split systems that she finally took action. I know she liked the fact that ductless mini split systems didn’t need to link to existing air duct, because she had one installed recently! She told me how affordable it was plus how effective it was at cooling the ninth floor! She also said that she enjoyed how she could turn the ductless mini split system on plus off depending on when she’d be using the ninth floor dining room.
