Our swimming pool is right next to the outdoor condenser unit! For the most part, the humming that comes from the A/C running inside the apartment doesn’t bother me, then every summer, I grow to love the comfort of the sounds coming from the outside condenser unit. Halfway into the summer, I rarely notice the condenser component running. Two weeks ago though, I observed the condenser component running more often than normal. The device sounded like it was running difficult in order to keep up, but it sounded like it was going to explode. I didn’t know what to do, so I shut down my HVAC system truly and called the emergency HVAC line. I told them about my troubles with the condenser component and how it sounded horrible, so they agreed to send an HVAC professional over right away. When the HVAC professional was done examining my HVAC system, she told me that I needed a up-to-date air handler. An air handler was responsible for keeping my HVAC system running smoothly and efficiently, and without it, the outside condenser component had to work harder. The condenser component had sounded so horrible because it was working too difficult in order to cool my entire house. The HVAC professional said that it was a superb thing I’d turned off my HVAC system truly and called someone right away. The situation could’ve been much worse had I waited. The HVAC professional was able to install a brand up-to-date air handler that afternoon and my A/C was running again before I went to bed.
