HVAC Zoning For Hot and Cold Spots

For reasons I can’t explain, my house has hot and cold spots. This means that some rooms are always hotter than others and vice versa, making the temperature of my house inconsistent. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong and I’ve tried everything to get the issue fixed. Because I couldn’t fix the hot and cold spots on my own, I decided to call an HVAC professional to come assess the situation. If anyone could figure out the problem and hopefully fix it, it would be an HVAC professional. When I explained the issue to him, he walked around the entire house to feel the temperature differences himself. He walked between the various rooms for what felt like forever, before he came back to me with a solution. According to him, the rooms that were hotter were in a cluster together and the rooms that were cooler within a cluster together. This broke my house into two categories: the hot section and the cold section. In order to make each section an even, consistent temperature, I needed to install another zone. Zoning would divide my house into two sections with their own HVAC system. I could set the temperature on the thermostats separately, which would heat and cool only the area it was responsible for. By zoning my house, the temperature would feel much more comfortable and consistent throughout. My HVAC system would also no longer need to run aggressively in order to make up for what it was lacking in one area.
