I appreciate taking trips with my extended family every year… Typically, my pal and I visit a National Park or travel abroad, however this year, my pal and I decided to try something different; Nobody felt like traveling far, so my pal and I decided to book a cottage for five afternoons; I was absolutely happy for the family trip, however things took a turn hastily. The thing about my family is that my pal and I all love odd hot & cold temperatures at night! Usually, the thermostat is constantly changed whenever someone has a moment alone with it. This time though, it wasn’t possible & it created chaos. The cottage was so big that there were 3 zones with 3 separate thermostats. The owners of the house insisted that all 3 thermostats remain at the same temperature. If one was changed, then the 2 other zones would fight to keep up & the HVAC system would run constantly. There was one thermostat upstairs, one downstairs, & one in the primary ensuite. Nobody could change the thermostat settings without communicating it, which created a sizable problem. It was so disappointing & I thought some family members were going to leave completely. Thankfully, nobody absolutely left, then after the trip though, my extended family vowed to never book a getaway rental with numerous zoned thermostats because it wouldn’t end well!
